Description
The Violet SM does not compromise on sound or workmanship. The soundboard of the instrument is made from carefully selected Sitka spruce, whose excellent acoustic properties are further enhanced by our innovative individual voicing process. The back and sides are made from African mahogany. This combination gives the guitar a perfectly balanced sound with clear highs, warm bass and long-lasting sustain. It is thus ideal for delicate fingerstyle as well as more aggressive flatpicking or strumming.
In addition to a number of dark appointments, the beautiful natural appearance of the instrument is further enhanced by our Open-Pore Finish, which leaves the deep pores of the wood open. The Violet SM is available in both dreadnought and grand auditorium with cutaway.
Sound is the most important consideration for Furch guitars. Their excellent acoustic qualities are the result of state-of-the art technologies, proprietary production processes and precision craftsmanship combined with the use of the best available tonewoods. The Violet SM is no fluke. Hear its exceptional sound quality for yourself with Tonepedia’s app. You can compare its unique sound with other Furch models and also guitars from other manufacturers.
The premium nature of the Violet SM is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using the voicing process, which enhances the instrument’s tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, the Violet SM has a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.
The instrument features Open-Pore Finish, a special thin finish that promotes the natural sonic qualities of tonewoods and provides an excellent level of surface protection.
Like all our other models, the Violet SM is made exclusively from solid wood. The soundboard comes from carefully selected Sitka spruce and the back and sides are made from African mahogany. This combination makes the Violet SM a superbly tuned instrument with a long sustain.
A high precision, dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck relief, bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth and controlled neck relief, ensuring the best playability and enduring optimal setup.
A fully adjustable dual-action truss rod for highly precise adjustment of the neck bow in both the convex and concave directions.
A highly rigid carbon casing that maintains the neck in the set position over a period much longer than is the case with standard neck joint designs and, at the same time, facilitates a gradual bow in the neck, a factor of essential importance for playability.
A casting made of special alloy located inside the neck heel that ensures a stable position of the neck and its angle vis-à-vis the body.

The spruce soundboard of the Violet SM is decorated with binding, pickguard and an annular rosette in a contrasting black design.
The ebony fingerboard of the guitar is equipped with special shortened frets which deliberately do not extend to the edge of the fingerboard. This prevents them from protruding due to fretboard shrinkage at lower humidity. The resulting area contains a flexible ebony-colored filler, which can perfectly absorb any changes.
